Flights

Remember: It is prohibited to travel with ammunition in your hand luggage.
When you exit the airport arrivals hall, near the information desk (on your right as you exit), the driver will be waiting with a sign with your name and the THD company logo.

Passport
Valid for at least 30 days after the date of departure from South Africa.
With at least 2 blank pages.

Are you travelling with a weapon?
Notify the airline when you make your reservation that you will be travelling with weapons.
Send us your Weapons Permit, Rifle Guide and the number of bullets.
We will send you the Letter of Invitation and other documentation.

Are you travelling with minors?
Since November 2019, for minors travelling with their parent(s), South Africa only requires the minor's passport.

Healthcare
Limpopo, South Africa, is a tropical disease-free zone; no vaccinations are required.
We recommend bringing SPF 50 or higher sunscreen and insect repellent.
A private hospital, doctors, and pharmacies are available 60 minutes from the ranch in case of emergency.

Weather
SUMMER: November to March. Rainy season. Warm and humid weather. Temperatures between 25-32Ί.
WINTER: April to October. Dry season. BEST TIME FOR HUNTING. Warm, clear days with cold early mornings and nights.
Temperatures fluctuate between 5Ί and 27Ί during the day.

Money
Country currency: Rand
Check with your bank for any restrictions on using your bank card in South Africa. Your bank may block some transactions.
Information: when travelling abroad, each person may carry a maximum of 9,900 in cash.
At the ranch, you can pay in cash (euros, dollars or rands), by bank transfer (transfer fees are payable in full by the customer) or by credit card (with a 3% surcharge).

All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and daily laundry service (you don't need to bring a lot of clothes). In addition, the ranch provides:

Booking and payment conditions
Reservation: Confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of 30% of the total cost.
Payments: 50% of the total cost must be paid before the safari begins. The remaining balance will be paid at the end of the safari at the ranch (cash or online transfer).
Prices: Quoted in or $, valid for the current season.
Variations: If the price increases by more than 15%, the customer may withdraw and recover their deposit (except for administrative costs or payments to third parties unrelated to The Hunter's Dream).
Note: Booking the safari implies full acceptance of these conditions, which act as a definitive contract.

Cancellation policy
In the event of cancellation of your safari, notification must be made in writing.
The 30% deposit will be applied to a new booking for the same season or the following season. You will never lose your money.

Taxidermy and trophy shipping
The Hunter's Dream Safari can recommend, at the request of its clients:
- Taxidermy services in South Africa and in the client's country of origin for the treatment of trophies, both dip and pack and processed.
- Customs agents in South Africa and in the client's country of origin, necessary for the shipment and export/import of trophies.
Under no circumstances is The Hunter's Dream part of these companies and, consequently, it is not responsible for delays, losses or malpractice on the part of these companies.

Risks and responsibilities
Hunting Safety: Hunting is a risky activity. It is the client's responsibility to act ethically and cautiously to avoid unnecessary dangers.
Documentation: The client must travel with all documentation in order (passport, visas, vaccination certificates, etc.).
Disclaimer: Although The Hunter's Dream will take extreme safety measures, it assumes no responsibility for accidents, illnesses, or loss of luggage by airlines during the safari.

Travel insurance
It is essential to take out travel insurance that covers the following eventualities: accident, death, medical coverage (medical evacuation), loss or theft of personal belongings, and trip cancellation.
