We hunt with rifle and bow with a team of Spanish and South African qualified professional hunters, pisteros and skinners who collaborate in the development of the safari.
At our ranch we have 7 stands set up for both rifle and bow hunting.
We hunt over 85,000 hectares in concessions around the Ranch, within a radius of 50 km.
Concessions where we can hunt with rifle and bow and others exclusively dedicated to bow hunting.
And also on concessions in other provinces of South Africa for antelope and other animals indigenous to those provinces and in Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe for some of the Big 5 such as Elephant and Leopard.
We hunt every day in different farms to give the hunter the possibility to experience different sensations in different habitats: savannah, mountain, river, agriculture, etc.
We always hunt on the trail.
About 85/90% of the trophies hunted are SCI and Rowland Ward approved trophies.
Our vehicles are brand new, always in a perfect state of repair and ready for hunting: Toyota Land Cruisers and Hilux.
Our dogs for tracking and for the pen: jackrussels and German Braco and Drahtha.
We hunt at night: fun hunting nocturnal animals such as jackals, porcupines, small antelopes and also small predators.
Hunting season
The official hunting season in South Africa starts in April and lasts until the end of October.
But at The Hunter's Dream Safari we hunt all year round, with the exception of March, when we travel to Spain to attend the CINEGÉTICA Hunting Fair in Madrid.
The seasons in South Africa, being in the southern hemisphere, are the opposite of the seasons in Europe.
The South African winter, the months of June, July and August, is the hunting season par excellence.
The countryside is dry, with high visibility. The animals have to move to find food and water.
The Ranch is located on a 2,200 hectare estate in the Limpopo Province. This region is situated in the north of South Africa and borders Botswana and Zimbabwe.
This area is considered a hunting mecca due to the great variety of species (around 35 species available for hunting), the high density of animals (we have over 1,500 animals on our ranch alone) and the high quality of the trophies that are hunted, thanks to the genetics and conservation policy.
It is only a 3.5 hour drive north from Johannesburg airport which is the arrival destination in the country. There is no need to take another plane from Johannesburg to get to the Ranch, saving on airfares and travel time.
It is an area free of tropical diseases such as malaria and others, so it is not necessary to be vaccinated against ANYTHING. We do, however, recommend a tetanus vaccination, which every hunter probably already has.
